In Parque Patricios, Buenos Aires, a technical plan for shoring and controlled demolition has been authorized for the “Estación Buenos Aires” housing complex. This measure will be carried out on the specific area that collapsed. According to the official report accessed by the Noticias Argentinas news agency, the area remains closed due to structural risk following incidents that occurred this afternoon, when victims forcibly entered their apartments to retrieve their personal belongings. Three days after the structural collapse of the parking slab, the communiqué states that a “technical plan for shoring and controlled demolition” was authorized; however, this point refers to the space that collapsed. The first batch of cars from the affected parking lot was also removed. Authorities stated that “neighbors can only enter to retrieve essential items under supervision while safety work is underway, exceptionally and only accompanied by firefighters or emergency personnel.” On March 6th, personnel from Firefighters, Guardia de Auxilio, and Civil Defense worked at the site, while the construction company presented a work plan for shoring the buildings to the Guardia de Auxilio, with the authorization of the complex administration.
